“I believe that my ability to create works of art is God given and God blessed. I believe I was given this gift to use for His glory and purpose. As I walk this wonderful journey, everyday I learn and grow. Spiritually drawing nearer to Him and learning how to express myself and share my experiences through my work. My life is often expressed through my paintings. My hope is that my work reaches down into your heart and inspires you and speaks a message to you from my source and strength.”

Newsletter :: April, 2009

Happy Spring! Welcome to the second issue of my quarterly newsletter.

In this issue:

  • Homeworks Artistry Stimulus Package
  • My most recent works
  • Gallery showings
  • Exciting news about a new venture!

Stimulus Package

Bronze Treasure

I am sure you would agree that our economy has seen better days. I went to the mall the other day to pick up a few items and I was amazed at all the sales. Big sales! That got me thinking. Why can't I offer a savings package? I have been in the studio creating the same high quality finishes at a more economical cost. A couple of my favorite are:

  • Bronze Treasure
  • Venetian Pearl Stone
  • Firestone

Did You Know?

Venetian Pearl Stone

You can now pay for Homeworks Artistry services by credit card or electronic check, using the Paypal link on my website!

I have also created a payment plan, for work costing over $2,000. This can now be paid over a three-month period of time. Longer payment options will be considered, if the project cost is much greater.

Please contact me to discuss your decorative ideas and payment options.

Recent Work

Firestone

My blog is a great way to stay up to date with my most recent projects.

I write candidly about my work, worries and victories, and post some great photos of the process.

I would love for you to leave comments, suggestions or other ideas, and please check out the links to other fine artists and decorative painting sites listed on my blog.

Gallery Showings

I am so excited to be a part of The Island Art Gallery in the Litchfield Exchange, in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

Read here about the new gallery, and their Grand Opening:

The Grand Opening is Saturday April 25, from 5 pm to 8:30pm. Please stop by, and enjoy the music, wine and hors d'oeuvres. Chat with some amazingly talented local artists – as well as myself. I hope to see you there!

I'm on Etsy!

I have recently completely some new work that can be viewed and purchased. I have enjoyed being in my studio and allowing myself creative freedom to come up with new and unique works.

Many of the originals can be seen at The Island Art Gallery if you are in town. Hours are 10am to 5pm m-sat

I have also expanded my work to include some great jewelry pieces of my work (see photo on left). This is great fun creating “Wearin' Art.”

The New Venture

Meet Carley

Meet Carley! You can read about her by clicking on her image.

We have been working on Carley for nearly a year, and she is almost ready to come out of the shadows! I am so excited about this.

You will be able to keep up to date on her activities, where she will be available (she will have her own Etsy Shop very soon), and even participate in a question and answer day. There will be free giveaways from time to time as well.

Check out Carley's blog. The blog is currently under construction, and will be changing weekly. Please leave your questions and comments – I'd love to get some feedback.

Thank you for checking out my newsletter. Please keep in touch with me on my sites, or follow me on Twitter and Facebook:

I am working on several paintings right now, and I will add them to the Etsy selection soon. I will also post them on my blog.

Back to the drawing board! Literally!

Until next time, smile and bless someone today!
